Who We Are
Ashtanga Yoga & Meditation Teacher
Teacher Training Instructor
Kathryn has been teaching for the last 12 years and has been practicing yoga since 2004. She initially explored different forms of yoga and Ashtanga yoga became her core yoga practice along with the influence of Iyengar yoga. She has studied with reputable senior Ashtanga Yoga teachers and travels every year to train abroad in India or Europe. She has studied under senior Buddhist teachers from Tibet, UK & US and has found that combining her yoga practices with Buddhist meditation's 'inner techniques' has allowed her to deepened her own personal practice & experience of both yoga and meditation.
Her teaching style is more Vinyasa now and in her classes she puts an emphasis on meditation and pranayama. She encourages students to develop their own personal yoga practice to use yoga to enhance their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Vinyasa Yoga Teacher
Teacher Training Instructor
When Nikki started practicing yoga over 20 years ago, she was a self described ‘purist’ Ashtanga student. She studied under many of the top Ashtanga teachers in the world, such as Richard Freeman, Manju Jois, David Swenson, Rolf Naujokat, Peter Sanson, Kino McGregor, Hamish McHendry, Matthew Sweeney, and Dena Kingsburg, and she spent 3 months studying under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India.
But as the years have gone on, her practice has changed. I still commit to studying with my main teacher, Paul Dallaghan every year.
I also was beginning to believe that there are no definite ‘rules’ that should be followed by everyone, regardless of their somatic history. Illy, I believe that movement and awareness is what matters. Keeping our bodies healthy. Keeping our minds healthy. The connection between the two is undeniable. And the importance of working with the breath as the bridge between the two continues to inspire me.
Sivananda Yoga Teacher & Vinyasa Yoga
BodyTalk Energy Medicine practitioner
Therese is our studio's founder. She is an intuitive energy medicine practitioner, mother of two boys, yoga teacher, and whole food plant based enthusiast. Yoga was her first love and she began teaching in 2003. While studying Yoga in south India in 2007, a deep and profound experience shifted how she perceived the world and helped me understand that we are really energetic spiritual beings having this wonderful, although sometimes challenging, physical experience.
Through her own transformation and healing, she has intimate knowledge of how our minds and bodies work together to liberate us and awaken us to our highest potential.
Therese has studied with Vinyasa teachers like Jason Crandell, Shiva Rea, Max Stromand taught Vinyasa yoga for meany years. Now returning to the more traditional Sivananda yoga practice, she is guided by the enlightened teachings of Swami Sivananda Saraswasti of Rishekesh and Swami Vishnu Devananda. Her focused is on bringing balance to the entire system through breath work, postures, proper diet, positive thinking, meditation and proper relaxation.
Yoga & Meditation Teacher
Graham first began using the physical practices of Yoga as a means to find more comfort in his body during seated meditation practice. The amount of positive change he experienced from Yoga led him to train as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher with 3HO under Sada Sat Singh and Sada Sat Kaur with Jai Katar Kaur of Well Within yoga. He continued his training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga with Lalit Kumar of Himalaya Yoga Valley and as a Yoga Nidra teacher with Swami Shantimurti Saraswati of 'Ashram Yoga'.
He has been sharing these wonderful health enhancing practices in Cork City since 2011.
His classes can range from strong and physical to slow and steady breath. A qualified meditation teacher, he encourages all student to choose what practice they need at a given time, all while maintaining the same deep connection within.
