She enjoys being creative and experimental working with different sequences and a range of postures. Her classes are fun and lively yet meditative to cultivate mindfullness and peace and incorporate the philosophy and spirit of yoga. The main influences on her teaching style include Vinyasa Flow and Sivananda practices. She is guided by the enlightened teachings of Swami Sivananda of Rishekesh. She is a dedicated teacher and student undertaking regular training in Europe and India in both yoga and meditation.

Carol Murphy

Vinyasa Flow level 2/3

Carol's yoga introduction started at a young age. She started formal classes in 1989 in San Francisco with her sister Annette Murphy, owner of Santosha Iyengar yoga studio, and has been practising ever since. She studied Iyengar yoga for 12 years, Ashtanga for another 7, visiting her teacher Pattabhi Jois annually in India before he died in May 2009. Since then, Carol has developed her own Asana sequences using principles mainly from the Krishnamacharya lineage and combining these principles with Ayurvedic wisdom, modern Yoga anatomy and philosophy primarily derived form the Tantric tradition. The philosophical and psychological aspect of yoga has always been a source of fascination and inspiration for Carol. Carol also holds a B.A in western philosophy, English and psychology from NuiGalway and a Masters of philosophy from Trinity College Dublin and is also greatly interested in yoga philosophy and trans-personal psychology. Yoga has helped Carol cultivate connection with self and the shadow aspects of self, balance, insight, acceptance, courage, strength, stability, creativity, inner freedom, deep contentment, and experiences of bliss states. She is inspired and grateful that she is able to share these gifts with her students.

Linda O'Mahony

Beginners Level 1 Yoga

Linda started her Yoga practice in 2007 and immediately fell in love with it. She was amazed at how quickly she started to feel the benefits of the practice - benefits which were not just physical. Linda found that a moderate and regular practice could have a powerful effect. She was so inspired by the effects of her own practice that she enrolled on a teacher training course just a year later. Linda qualified in 2009 from the YTTC and has been teaching in various Cork studios ever since. Linda is also a trained therapeutic massage therapist. While doing her teacher training in Cork with the YTTC she also recieved her prenatal yoga training. In 2010 she had a baby boy and firmly believes she would not have delivered her baby naturally if it wasn't for yoga. In 2012 she started a second teacher training course with Carol Murphy of Green Lotus in the Yoga Loft in Cork. Once completed in December she will be qualified in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In 2013 she is planning on going to London to contuine her teaching journey and attend prenatal training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.
