The YogaLoft is delighted to offer Tui Na (Chinese Medical Acupressure Massage), Therapeutic Massage and Reiki with Phoebe Noble on Sundays and Mondays.

Phoebe is a qualified Tui Na (Chinese Medical Acupressure Massage) practitioner with the Active Health Foundation (Affiliated with the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine). Tui Na is one of the four main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (along with Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Qi Gong). It dates back to 2700BC making in the forefather of all massage and bodywork. Even to this day Traditional Chinese hospitals have complete Floors of Tui Na. It is a complete system of healing in itself and is particularly effective in treating conditions of acute of chronic pain, Headaches, Insomnia, IBS, fatigue and much much more. Tui Na works in a similar way to acupuncture but there are no needles. It is also designed to prevent problems and not just correct them. The cost of a session of Tui Na is 40euros.

Phoebe studied Holistic Massage at Fuscia Aromatherapy (I.T.E.C) and has had three years experience working in Cork. She is a member of ARCHTI (Association of Registered Complementary Health Therapists Ireland).

She has also successfully completed a Hot Stone Massage Certificate course (Fuscia), A Tuina seated Massage Diploma (Active Health Foundation) and has been attuned to Reiki 1 and 2 in Australia, her home Country.

Tui Na Seated Massage

For this treatment the client stays dressed and is sitting on a chair. Most of the treatment is spent working on the upper back, head and neck and sometimes the arms may be included. The principals of Tuina movement and manipulation are applied to the external meridians to create free movements of muscles and joints. Clothes on, no oils and yet a deep healing and energizing massage. A great treatment for busy bee's or those on a lunch break.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word that translates to Universal Life Energy. Practitioners use hands on, No touch and visualisation techniques to alleviate problems of energy flow on a physical and emotional level. Reiki works on the physics principle that energy always seeks to balance itself.

40mins : 35euros
